Hello and welcome back to my blog.
It is the Holiday Season and you guessed it right, the season of gifts. What is a gift? A gift is something that one
gives someone willingly, without payment.
It is also known as ‘Present’. What is the greatest gift that the divine has
given? The greatest present that the
maker or creator has endowed on man is probably the present moment in which
he/she is breathing and smiling from his/her heart.
Here is my very own interpretation
of the word ‘GIFT’. I look upon the word ‘GIFT’ as an acronym formed by the initial letters of the following
multi-word name.
G – Generosity of the spirit
I – Innovative/Inspiring towards
noble deeds
F-
Festivity
T –
Timeless
Do you
not think that a ‘GIFT’ actually embodies and encompasses all the attributes
above? A ‘GIFT’ is a direct reflection of the generosity of the giver’s
spirit. A true ‘GIFT’ is aimed to
inspire the recipient towards better and nobler goals and deeds. I usually ‘GIFT’ innovative or new things. A ‘GIFT’
makes the atmosphere festive. Of course,
a well-thought-out gift is timeless and priceless. So there It is. A ‘GIFT’ is
truly remarkable, when thought in this way. Is it not?
So what
are you waiting for? Think, run and grab
the best gifts for your near and dear ones this holiday season for
‘GIVING OPENS THE WAY FOR RECEIVING !’
After
all,
‘NO-ONE HAS EVER BECOME POOR BY GIVING!’
On another
level, let me put it this way,
‘
THE MEANING OF LIFE IS TO FIND YOUR GIFT.
THE PURPOSE OF LIFE IS TO GIVE IT AWAY.’
What
I mean is this. If you have a wonderful voice, sing and make others happy. If
you are a good painter, paint on your canvas and share it with the world. If
you are a good cook, prepare delicious meals and share it with your near and
dear ones. What ever is your gift or god-given talent, it is for the good and
benefit of those around you. Use it
wisely and for the good of those aroung you.
Let
me conclude my post with the following quote:
‘BLESSED
ARE THOSE WHO CAN GIVE WITHOUT
REMEMBERING
AND TAKE
WITHOUT FORGETTING!’
And do not forget, YOU are a GIFT to this world ! Make sure your presence makes everyone around you happy !
